Stoic, in the choreographer’s own words, is a soap opera in a contemporary dance environment. In an iconic library by the visual artist Hans Op de Beeck, life is lived as if nothing will ever change. The space is a realistic, beautifully shaped sculpture that inspires the imagination. Here, self-centeredness and a clumsy search for acknowledgement thrive in pursuit of inner peace.
