Many artists have at least an affinity with the clown's existence. The melancholic artist, the serious clown, the comic artist, the tragic clown, the idiotic artist, the subversive clown, the consoling artist ... They all have the gift of transcending life. To make their fellow man feel, see and think differently. The clown / artist gives a comical face to the tragic existence, and vice versa.
