Harmaus antaa tilaa tulkinnalle

Everyone wants to see this exhibition now – the popularity of the Silent Parade surprised even Amos Rex
Amos Rex's exhibition The Silent Parade, which opened in August, has been a great success and has already been seen by 65,000 people.
- We have received such feedback that I have seen a lot, but it is difficult to surpass this. Some weekends have been sold out, says communication expert Ida Kukkapuro from Amos Rex.
According to Kukkapuro, a lot is expected from the Amos Rex art museum, and the popularity of the exhibition has surprised even the museum.
- One of the reasons for the popularity is that the exhibition is immersive and it is not common for the exhibition to have such a soundscape that is part of the work. The feedback has been almost entirely positive.
According to Kukkapuro's assessment, the visitors' strong positive experiences can be affected by the dimness and lack of color in the exhibition space, which gives room for the use of one's own imagination.
Grayness gives room for interpretation
The Belgian artist has brought an entire gray sculpture park and a soundscape created for the exhibition to Helsinki. Hans Op de Beeck's art depicts life, its momentary nature, beauty and on the other hand tragicomic.
- When you see a gray statue figure, you immediately realize that it is an interpretation of reality. By taking most of the colors in the exhibition, the landscape becomes more dreamlike, says Op de Beeck.
Visitors become part of the park-like view of the Silent Parade exhibition and the soundscape of the work, which makes you fall silent.
