Archetypal Landscape Series of sculptures, 2016.

‘Archetypal Landscapes’ is a series of monochrome grey paintings carved like bas-reliefs. The landscapes depicted are archetypes of the landscape genre, such as a seascape or a mountain landscape.
The use of monochrome frees the works from the kitsch they reference, reducing their glamour and turning them into dream-like images, discreetly and silently present in the room.
