‘Stéphanie’ is a life-size sculpture of a seated, young, bald woman in punk attire. Sleeping on her lap is a sphynx cat, which she holds most carefully, nurturingly. In a way, the bald-headed character and the cat resemble each other, as is more often the case when pet and owner share a special bond. The character’s punk clothes evoke an alternative world of squats and unconventional living.
